Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Financial Risk Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing AML monitoring and review on trade post-transaction files, as well as investigating and resolving discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions.

  • Monitor and review trade post-transaction files for potential sanctions violations in accordance with SMBC policies.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions, including handling stakeholder complaints and escalating issues to senior management promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial risk management or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to link diverse information to build a full picture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with front office and back office teams.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Risk Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Performing daily name screening alert clearance.
  • Coordinating and preparing management information reporting data as applicable.
  • Ensuring that all reviews and investigations are adequately documented for regulatory and audit level review.
