Roles & Responsibilities

TikTok, a global leader in short-form mobile video, seeks a talented Backend Software Engineer to join its FundSafety team. As a key member of this fast-growing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of millions of dollars in transactions every day.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Planning and leading large-scale technical projects to lay the foundation for the iterative development and scale of early products.
  2. Aligning with product and organizational objectives, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver key results.
  3. Developing robust, efficient technology platforms and contributing to engineering strategy, tooling, and processes.
  4. Researching and applying cutting-edge domain and technical knowledge into products.
  5. Focusing on fund-related requirements and ensuring business strong consistency and validity.

Qualifications include:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant disciplines with 2+ years of working experience.
  2. Rich working experience in scalable, highly available, distributed, and mission-critical systems.
  3. Extensive knowledge of modern software tech stack, including front-end applications, large-scale backend, and data pipelines.
  4. Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, C++.
  5. Deep understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and algorithms, as well as common databases and messaging frameworks.
  6. Able to work closely with diverse stakeholders and have good communication skills.
  7. Self-driven, positive, cooperative, and willing to keep learning enthusiasm at all times.
