Principal Building Information Modeller

As a skilled BIM Modeller/Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating building information modeling (BIM) processes for architectural, structural, and MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Proficient in using BIM/CAD software: Utilize industry-standard software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD to create and manage 3D models, drawings, and documentation.
- Manage project modelling and documentation: Oversee all architectural and structural modelling, technical drawings, and detailing using BIM software, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders: Collaborate with project coordinators from various disciplines to deliver high-quality results, manage schedules, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Internal coordination and communication: Manage internal coordination, drawing schedules, and subcontractor model updates to maintain efficient project workflows.
- Technical issue resolution: Work closely with sub-contractors and consultants to resolve technical issues, identify solutions, and implement corrective actions.
- Drawings and data management: Produce and maintain accurate drawings from BIM models, ensuring proper transmission of data to all parties involved.
- Project scheduling and progress tracking: Ensure that detailed schedules of drawing production and site progress are met, facilitating effective project planning and control.
- Quality management: Implement quality recordings, analyze results, and develop action plans for continuous improvement, adhering to established quality standards.
- BIM knowledge and implementation: Demonstrate expertise in BIM modelling, implementation, and data transmission, with a solid understanding of BIM standards and Level of Development (LOD).
- Ad-hoc project tasks: Perform additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager to support project execution and success.
Diploma in Architecture / Engineering / Construction related fields: A relevant diploma or degree is required, with a strong foundation in architectural, engineering, or construction principles.
BCA trained/certified BIM course preferred: Completion of a BCA-certified BIM training program is highly desirable, demonstrating expertise in BIM methodology and technology.
Residential project experience preferred: Previous experience working on residential projects, particularly with HDB or similar schemes, is an advantage.
Multi-discipline skills: Possess a broad range of skills, including architectural, structural, and MEP expertise, to effectively coordinate and collaborate with project teams.
Minimum 5 years' experience: At least 5 years of experience in a BIM coordinator role is required, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
Technical skills: Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and other industry-standard software is essential for this role.
Team player and customer service skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills are necessary to build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
