Radiation Physicist

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be primarily involved in the measurement of radiation doses, the formulation of treatment plans, and the implementation of quality assurance protocols within the facility.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and precise treatment delivery by developing treatment plans for external beam radiotherapy and brachytherapy, while collaborating with clinical consultants on treatment strategies and methodologies.
• Oversee radiotherapy quality assurance initiatives by conducting output measurements, calibrating equipment, and performing regular quality checks on radiotherapy machinery. Review daily quality assurance procedures executed by radiation therapists.
• Supervise radiation therapists to guarantee adherence to established standards and compliance with radiation safety regulations.
• Assist in the timely execution of preventive maintenance inspections for radiotherapy equipment, ensuring all maintenance reports are thoroughly reviewed.
• Provide frontline troubleshooting support for therapy-related equipment and coordinate with service engineers as necessary.
• Aid in compliance with regulatory requirements set forth by health authorities and contribute to departmental quality and safety projects.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree or master's in Medical Physics (Radiation Therapy) or a related field is required.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the field of radiation therapy is preferred.
