Fragrance Laboratory Assistant Role Summary.

We seek a diligent and detail-oriented Fragrance Laboratory Assistant to support our fragrance compounding and quality control functions. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic laboratory environment, ensuring the accurate preparation of fragrance samples, maintaining inventory, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include compound fragrance samples accurately based on internal formulation references; organize and maintain fragrance raw materials and lab inventory; ensure the laboratory is clean, well-organized, and compliant with safety requirements;

In addition, the Fragrance Laboratory Assistant will conduct QC checks on incoming raw materials, in-process blends, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications; perform basic tests such as appearance, odour evaluation, refractive index, and specific gravity; flag and report any deviations or non-conformities; manage and store QC retain samples systematically;

Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory and QC activities, prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for finished goods, ensure all documentation is current, properly filed, and audit-compliant; Support review and maintenance of internal SOPs and product specifications.

This role requires a minimum Diploma in Perfumery & Cosmetic Science or equivalent; at least 1 year of relevant experience in a laboratory or QA/QC environment is an advantage; familiarity with fragrance raw materials, basic lab equipment, and QC test procedures; strong attention to detail with a methodical and organized approach to work; proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; able to work both independently and as part of a team; comfortable handling fragrance oils and chemicals daily.
