Fragrance Laboratory Assistant & QA/QC Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Fragrance Laboratory Assistant & QA/QC Executive to support our fragrance compounding and quality control functions. The ideal candidate will prepare fragrance samples, conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished goods, and maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.

Fragrance Laboratory Support:

  • Craft high-quality fragrance samples based on internal formulation references.
  • Organize and manage fragrance raw materials and lab inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe laboratory environment.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control:

  • Conduct thorough QC checks on incoming raw materials, in-process blends, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Perform basic tests such as appearance, odor evaluation, refractive index, and specific gravity.
  • Flag and report any deviations or non-conformities.
  • Manage and store QC retain samples systematically.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory and QC activities.
  • Prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for finished goods.
  • E nsure all documentation is current, properly filed, and audit-compliant.
  • Support review and maintenance of internal SOPs and product specifications.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Perfumery & Cosmetic Science or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a laboratory or QA/QC environment is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with fragrance raw materials, basic lab equipment, and QC test procedures is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and organized approach to work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable handling fragrance oils and chemicals daily.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in fragrance compounding or QC testing is desirable.
  • Interest in fragrances, sensory evaluation, and product quality is a plus.
