Ship Design Engineer (Marine)

We are seeking a highly skilled Ship Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our marine engineering department, you will play a critical role in designing and developing vessel hulls and structures.

About the Role:
  • You will be responsible for analyzing vessel stability, cargo loading, and structural integrity.
  • You will work closely with owners, charterers, shipmasters, and class societies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • You will collaborate with our commercial team to provide technical input during vessel evaluations and tenders.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture is required.
  • At least 5 years' experience as a structural or design engineer in shipyards or marine engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and analysis software like Femap/Nastran.
  • Experience in cargo lashing design and knowledge of lifting/rigging.
  • Strong understanding of vessel stability, cargo loading, welding, and marine structures.
