Job Overview

The Director of Yield Technology – NAND will spearhead the Yield, Defect Inspection, and Metrology Engineering teams in accelerating Micron's NAND technology development (TD) roadmap at its Singapore site, a hub for NAND technology excellence.

This leadership role will report directly to the CVP, NAND PI and is expected to be based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technology Execution – Develop advanced technology capabilities to drive industry differentiation and strategic advantage for NAND technology leadership. Lead and deliver the NAND TD strategic roadmap.
  • Collaboration Excellence – Effectively partner with Integration and Process development teams in TD to deliver timely solutions.
  • Talent Development, Retention, and Engagement – Develop internal leadership capabilities and technical expertise to enable a world-class technical team. Foster a team culture conducive to attracting and retaining top technology talent.
  • DEI – Foster an organization that values and leverages diversity, equality, and inclusion, recognizing its contribution to a stronger team. Embed best practices in operations and hiring decisions.
  • Support BIC Quality – Drive a culture of continuous improvement in the quality of solutions developed, supporting the demands of technology development.
  • Communication & Change Management – Enable real-time communication of defects and failure modes to relevant engineering groups and collaborate on continuous improvement plans and problem-solving. Provide regular updates to senior TD and MFG leadership.
  • Partner Support – Provide necessary support to manufacturing sites receiving transferred processes, including accurate documentation and training of personnel for successful technology transfer.
  • Budget Management – Efficiently manage resources and budgets.
  • University Partnerships – Proactively build and strengthen university partnerships for talent pipelining and research collaboration opportunities.
  • Safety Advocate – Understand safety guidelines and ensure safety protocols are followed for all areas, meeting site goals.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's or PhD degree in science or engineering disciplines.
  • At least 10 years of proven leadership success as a Manager/Director, with at least 3-5 years in technology development highly preferred.
  • Recognized as an advocate for Micron Values and aligning with Micron's Vision and Mission.
  • Strong organizational and technical skills with demonstrated successes in engagement with WW teams.
  • Excellent builder of high-performing teams, mentor, motivator, technical expert, and active talent spotter, developer, and leader.
  • High self-awareness, knowing personal strengths and opportunities for development, and actively seeking feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated strong technology learning ability and comfort with complexity and ambiguity.
  • Fundamental understanding of semiconductor processes with an intuitive understanding of technology development challenges.
  • Proven track record of excellent data analysis, interpretation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to adjust approach depending on situation and expectations.
  • Ability to provide strategic perspectives in collaboration with various leadership teams to deliver results.
