Job Title:
Trade Operations Specialist

Overview:

Citi’s Trade Operations team supports the firm's trading activities across various financial instruments. The team is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of trades, from pre-trade to post-trade processes.

The role involves working closely with traders, sales teams, and other stakeholders to manage trade-related activities, including trade matching, exception management, and allocation processing.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will work with multiple teams and stakeholders to resolve trade breaks and exceptions.



Responsibilities:
  • Intraday trade matching and exception management
  • Supporting allocation process and ensuring trades are correctly booked by sales, traders, and middle office
  • Processing of give-in and give-out transactions on exchanges
  • Handling contract servicing events, including exercise/assignment, expirations, cash settlements, and deliveries
  • Daily reporting to exchanges of close-outs, positions, and large trader information
  • Coordinating with sales, traders, middle office, and exchange and clearing brokers to resolve trade breaks or exceptions
  • Participating in documentation of business requirements and testing of new processes, systems rollouts, and UAT

Requirements:
In-depth knowledge and experience in Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD)

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in operations

Proven management track record and strong leadership capabilities

Solid knowledge of key industry futures systems (e.g., Exchange GUI, Clearing system) is a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong team player who works well in a global and regional team environment

Ability to influence change and implement process improvements is essential

Positive attitude with ability to motivate and inspire team members

Hands-on manager who can lead without being a micro-manager

High-level of client service to both internal and external clients with utmost professionalism at all times

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
