Job Title: Patient Care Assistant
Overview of the RoleThe Patient Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to patients and relatives. The role requires basic nursing skills, housekeeping duties, and assisting doctors and nurses in meeting the needs of patients.
- Perform basic nursing care and housekeeping duties.
- Assist doctors and nurses in caring for patients.
- Provide patient education and orientation to patients and relatives.
- Adhere to strict infection control measures and exercise standard precautions and good hand hygiene.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned work areas within the facility.
- Transfer patients safely to and from consultations.
- Minimum Higher Nitec / Nitec / GCE N / O / A Level or Equivalent.
- ITE Skills Certificate Health Care (Inpatient) or WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support preferred.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- Training will be provided.
