The role of a Patient Care Specialist is to provide exceptional care and support to patients, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
This specialist serves as the primary point of contact for patients, managing their care journey from appointment scheduling to follow-up. The specialist facilitates seamless communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff.
Responsibilities include:- Patient Communication: Act as the main liaison for patients, addressing inquiries and providing timely responses.
- Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, optimizing provider availability and patient convenience.
- Insurance Credit Advice: Advise patients on best options related to managing insurance policies for medical treatment.
- Billing Support: Assist patients with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and billing inquiries, coordinating with the billing department as needed.
- Follow-Up Care: Monitor patient progress, schedule follow-up appointments, and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
- Administrative Support: Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing correspondence to support the healthcare team.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum qualification of A' Level, diploma, or university qualifications.
- 1 year of clerical, secretarial, or office experience (added advantage).
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in English to liaise with stakeholders and read relevant documents.
- Ability to work independently.
- Immediate availability preferred.
