ROLE SUMMARY

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our data strategy, working both collaboratively and independently to plan, design, develop, and oversee data models for our operations across the Asia Pacific region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather and evaluate data from various sources to identify significant patterns, trends, and insights that align with business goals.
  • Apply statistical methods and data mining techniques to extract valuable information from intricate datasets.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to ensure the integrity and consistency of data.
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports utilizing BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView) to deliver data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Tailor visualizations to address specific business requirements, ensuring clarity and usability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to establish data specifications and requirements for ETL processes.
  • Validate and transform data to support efficient analysis and reporting.
  • Tackle data integration challenges and contribute to enhancements in data infrastructure.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to comprehend their data needs and objectives.
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications and data models.
  • Implement best practices in data governance to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Conduct routine data quality assessments and initiate corrective measures as needed.
  • Develop compelling visual narratives and data-driven stories to effectively communicate complex insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure visualizations follow best practices in data storytelling.
  • Provide training and support to business users on BI tools, fostering self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Address and resolve issues related to BI tools as necessary.
  • Suggest and execute improvements to existing BI processes and solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Over 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Business Intelligence Specialist, with a strong focus on data analysis and BI tools.
  • Proficient in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar platforms.
  • Strong SQL proficiency and experience with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL methodologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data visualization best practices and design principles.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work autonomously.
