Project Coordinator - Construction

The Project Coordinator - Construction is a vital role in the success of civil construction projects by developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Project Plans: Create detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS), timelines, and milestones, considering project scope, objectives, and client requirements.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Utilize scheduling software to create and maintain project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and coordinate activities to ensure adherence to timelines and deadlines.
  • Resource Allocation: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to optimize resource utilization, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor project progress against planned schedules, identify deviations or delays, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and maintain project schedules.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments, identify potential risks or obstacles that may affect project timelines, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and maintain project schedules.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular progress reports, including project status updates, variance analysis, and forecasts, for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Change Management: Effectively manage changes to project scope, schedules, or resources by assessing their impact, updating plans, and communicating changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in planning and scheduling for civil construction projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software, particularly Primavera P6.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and industry best practices.
