Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to assist in drafting, reviewing and interpreting contractual documents. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Building/Quantity Surveying and at least 5 years' relevant working experience in a managerial position handling contractual issues in the construction industry.
The successful candidate will support the Contract Manager in tendering processes, bid evaluations and negotiation with vendors or subcontractors. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of all contracts, correspondence and contract-related documentation. The candidate will also track key contractual obligations, deliverables, timelines and milestones ensuring that all contract documentation is in compliance with legal, regulatory and company standards.
In addition, the successful candidate will coordinate with internal departments (commercial, procurement, engineering) for contract inputs and clarifications. They will assist in the preparation of claims, change orders, variations and extensions of time (EOT), monitor contract performance and identify any potential exposure to risks and recommend solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a managerial position handling contractual issues
- Degree in Building/Quantity Surveying
- Strong understanding of contract law and regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
