Job Title: Electrical Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical aspects of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To have up-to-date knowledge of market price trends
  • To administer on HVAC / Electrical tender and tendering procedures
  • To have good strategies, planning and control of all tendering activities
  • To list the scope of work and commercial requirements in order to determine the risks of the projects
  • To prepare and follow up on the Request For Quotations to suppliers / sub-cons in order to ensure tender costing and technical data to be submitted on time
  • To take off Bill of Quantities from the ACMV Drawings, Points of Schedules and Architectural drawings
  • To collate price comparison, costing summary and technical proposal in order to prepare tender submission
  • To study the addendum and / or corrigendum documents and update costing summary with technical proposal accordingly
  • To maintain relevant documentation in an orderly and proper manner
  • To attend site briefing / site meeting / post tender interview when necessary

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 3 years' experience in M&E construction industry
  • Technical Skills:
    • Quantity Takeoff from BIM Models - Skilled in extracting accurate quantities and measurements directly from AutoCAD/BIM models using Navisworks and Revit integration.
    • Proficient in Autodesk Navisworks - Experienced in model navigation, clash detection, 3D simulations (construction sequencing), and coordination with MEP and structural teams.
    • AutoCAD Proficiency - Able to read, interpret, and perform quantity extractions from 2D and 3D drawings; experienced in layering, scaling, and dimensioning tools.
    • BIM Coordination and Model Review - Ability to review and validate models for quantity surveying purposes, ensuring alignment with construction specifications and design intent.
    • Digital Takeoff Tools - Familiar with BIM-based measurement tools (e.g., Navisworks Quantification, CostX, Bluebeam) for faster and more accurate estimating.
