Early Years Educator Role

Job Summary:

As an Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role in creating engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children aged 18 months to 6 years old.

You will work collaboratively with educators to implement best practices, ensure the physical environment is safe and enriching, and facilitate effective communication with parents.

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in Early Childhood Education, preferably with experience working within a Reggio Emilia-inspired context.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with educators to design and implement emergent curriculum aligned with our Reggio Emilia-inspired pedagogy.
  • Lead parent communications, employing excellent interpersonal skills to foster a nurturing and cooperative approach to relationships.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inspiring environment that promotes children's explorations and learning.
  • Engage in reflective practice using planning and observation tools provided, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation pieces showcasing children's learning and educator reflections.
  • Coordinate parent events, such as festivals, exhibitions, field trips, and volunteer opportunities, that promote community engagement and social responsibility.
Requirements:
  • A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is essential.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with children under 6 years old is preferred.
  • Training or experience working within a Reggio Emilia-inspired context will be advantageous, although training will be provided on the job.
