Job Description:

A Principal IT Infrastructure Security Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions to safeguard the company's networks, systems, and data. They will perform vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify potential risks.

The specialist will monitor and respond to security incidents, including analyzing logs, investigating threats, and implementing mitigation strategies. They will also develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure security principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage security solutions
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies
  • Manage and monitor security tools
  • Provide training and awareness programs
Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or related roles.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and cloud security
  • Experience with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS
  • Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
