As a DevOps intern, you will work closely with senior engineers to ensure the robustness and efficiency of our Kafka infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Kafka clusters.
  • Monitoring Kafka performance metrics and troubleshooting issues.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of Kafka-based data pipelines.
  • Working with development teams to integrate Kafka into applications.
  • Maintaining documentation for Kafka configurations and procedures.
  • Participating in debugging and resolving Kafka-related problems.
  • Staying informed about Kafka updates and industry best practices.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A basic understanding of Apache Kafka and its components (brokers, topics, producers, consumers).
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and real-time data processing concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and scripting languages.
  • Understanding of network protocols and data serialization formats (e.g., Avro, JSON).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
