Mental Health Nursing Specialist

At our institution, we seek a compassionate and skilled nurse to provide high-quality patient-centered care for individuals with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate patient-centered nursing care for individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital and nursing standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients at all times.
  • Keep Senior Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager/Doctor informed on patient's condition, treatment, intervention, and outcome.
  • Supervise and mentor new and junior nursing staff, fostering a supportive and effective nursing team.

Requirements:

  • Possess either a Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board license.
  • Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health) preferred.
  • Previous experience in acute care hospitals, especially in psychiatric wards, is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to listen actively and empathetically.
  • Patience and emotional resilience, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • A strong team-player with a self-starter attitude, agility, and perseverance in building a strong culture in performance & engagement.
  • A genuine interest in mental health care and the intention to pursue this specialty with dedication and compassion.
