Job Summary

The Mechanical Equipment Specialist is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems. This includes troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and driving cost and reliability improvement projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deploying engineering decision-making to resolve mechanical equipment breakdowns
  • Identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate to prevent unplanned downtime
  • Achieving a 0 LTIF target through adherence to safety procedures and best practices
  • Supporting the team in vendor management and external resource allocation
  • Driving safety, cost, energy, and reliability improvement projects through mechanical integrity and quality assurance
  • Recommending and implementing modifications or upgrades to enhance machinery reliability

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in supervising and managing mechanical site activities for large-scale manufacturing projects
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, and project management capabilities
  • Ability to work ethically and effectively in a fast-paced environment
