Senior Product Developer

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in defining and developing innovative Consumable Products that support cutting-edge genetic applications.
Your responsibilities will include evaluating new technologies, materials, and vendor partners to meet critical performance, reliability, yield, and cost objectives. You will drive development cycles of new consumable products, from design to process definition, equipment specification, prototyping, materials selection, and metrology development.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy novel materials, assembly processes, and characterization techniques at the prototype level. Additionally, you will define and implement process controls, in-line monitoring, and metrology for QA.
Data analysis of trends in performance tied to fundamental parameters and workflow will be a key aspect of your role. You will provide guidance on continuous improvement and contribute to the enhancement of our product development processes.
RequirementsWe are looking for a candidate with:
- Experience in plastics assembly design and development of complex integrated devices (Diagnostic, Microfluidic, Microelectronic, MEMS, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems related to device assembly, micro-fluidics, chemical interactions, and strength/reliability of materials
- Experience with design of experiment (DOE) methodologies and statistical methods for data analysis (i.e., JMP, Minitab)
- Familiarity with fabrication of fluidic devices, laser welding, plastic joining, or PSA lamination methods is an asset
