Job Title: Cost Manager MEP

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Manager MEP to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our cost management team, you will be responsible for providing expert cost advice and guidance to clients across a range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports
  • Estimate and cost plan, including producing and presenting the final cost plan
  • Tender and procure, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, and compiling the contractual documents
  • Deal with post-contract cost variances and change control processes, referring major changes to the line manager
  • Carry out cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation
  • Contribute to value engineering and negotiate final accounts
  • Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages
  • Assist in the production of bid documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, and products, referring ideas to the line manager
  • Manage knowledge and process improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management/Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum 4-8 years' experience in related fields
  • Excellent technical knowledge and experience across the full range of cost management duties
  • Experience in industrial, data centers, commercial, infrastructure, hospitality, leisure, and retail fit-out sectors preferred
  • Consultancy background and mechanical and electrical (M&E) work experience an advantage
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and negotiation abilities
