Procurement and Demand Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Demand Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing both demand planning and procurement activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the FMCG industry, particularly in demand planning and procurement processes. You will utilize your analytical expertise to identify demand trends that drive business decisions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasting models to predict future product needs.
  • Analyze depletion reports to identify sales trends and generate product forecasts for procurement requirements.
  • Work closely with management, sales, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of products.
  • Continuously analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Buyer Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily procurement and requisition activities, including handling shipments, and coordinating with vendors, warehouses, and freight forwarders.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for procurement processes.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee documentation for customs clearance, ensuring compliance with import/export laws and regulations.
  • Review vendor backlogs regularly and proactively expedite deliveries to meet deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and drive results with minimal supervision.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the FMCG industry, particularly in demand planning and procurement processes.
  • Understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
  • Strong negotiation abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a capacity to analyze data and make informed decisions.
