Credit Administration Leadership Role

Credit administration is a vital function within the banking sector, ensuring that all proposed credit facilities and conditions adhere to regulatory requirements. As a Team Lead, Credit Admin, you will oversee ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained, and that credit documentation is prepared and reviewed in compliance with regulatory demands.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that proposed credit facilities/conditions align with regulatory policies, guidelines, and legal requirements.
  • Prepare facility and credit documents such as facility letters, standard bank forms, and legal documents for Borrowers' execution.
  • Review conditions precedent for credit documentation and ensure compliance prior to activation of facility limits.
  • Monitor and track outstanding, expiry, and renewal of credit documents, insurances valuation reports, and credit & loan covenants.
  • Maintain safe-keeping and custodian functions for credit files, security, and collateral documents.

Collaboration and Control:

  • Collaborate with business units, legal counsels, credit, and policy owners to resolve documentation matters.
  • Review and monitor margin call, excess collateral shortfall, overdue instalment, and other credit exceptions and track for ratifications and approval.
  • Review and monitor compliance with regulatory limits.

Loan Operations and Compliance:

  • Monitor and provide guidance on loan administration, verification of authorized signatories, repayment schedules, fee calculation, loan collection, and loan restructuring.
  • Ensure compliance with local law and regulation and update Credit Admin SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).

Audit and Job Requirements:

  • Prepare and check documentation for audit and handle audit issues and queries.
  • Achieve satisfactory results in internal and external audits.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in any commerce-related field.
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant credit administration experience.
