Job Title

Marine Design Professional:

A highly skilled and experienced Marine Design Professional is required to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, and Structural Engineering.

  • Prepare and review layout arrangements in compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct naval architectural calculations, hydrodynamic analysis, and stability assessments.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers in hull form and general arrangement development, as well as hydrodynamic and stability calculations for tenders and ongoing projects.
  • Develop technical specifications for equipment procurement and evaluate vendor bids.
  • Generate project-specific documentation and drawing lists.
  • Review and approve calculations, drawings, and material lists to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee and verify technical information from external suppliers, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Support internal teams and external stakeholders by providing specialized technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with ship owners, regulatory surveyors, and classification bodies.
  • Ensure all design-related issues from owners, classification societies, and flag authorities are documented and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in tests, trials, and inspections as required.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in technology, classification rules, and industry standards related to naval architecture and design.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in engineering design within the Marine, Offshore, Oil & Gas industry, or Classification Societies.
  • Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
