Job Description

The NUS High School of Mathematics and Science invites suitable applicants for a position that aligns with their mission to foster math and science talent in primary schools.

This role is ideal for those interested in education, outreach, and community development. As a key member of the Outreach Department, you will facilitate and develop plans for active outreach to math and science talent in primary schools.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design programmes consisting of workshops, online modules, and other activities in Physics and Engineering, and other sciences for Primary 5 and 6 math and science talent from primary school partners.
  • Initiate and mentor simple research projects with primary school students.
  • Carry out planned programmes together with NUS High student helpers and adapt activities to students with varying abilities.
  • Mentor primary school students in outreach programmes to nurture their passion in math and science.
  • Collaborate with Student Interest Groups (SIGs): provide guidance for student helpers from SIGs to support outreach activities and provide support to SIG teachers.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be supporting the Alumni Relations Office and Corporate Communications Committee, as well as participating in miscellaneous teaching and learning activities.
