Job Title: Strategic Risk Facilitator

 

Job Description:

 

The Role of a Strategic Risk Facilitator involves driving organizational safety and risk management forward. Key responsibilities include effective coordination with stakeholders, facilitating open communication regarding health and safety risks, and ensuring the identification, elimination or reduction of design and construction hazards through regular review meetings/workshops.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Ensure seamless communication with all relevant parties including designers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned and on the same page.
  • Review Meetings: Organize and lead regular meetings to discuss project-related risks, ensure attendance, and prepare official meeting minutes for audit purposes to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Register Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register, updating it regularly with meeting records and residual risks, making it easily accessible to all stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Subcontractor Review: Conduct thorough reviews of subcontractors' method statements and risk mitigation plans prior to approval by the Project Director to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Regular Site Inspections: Perform monthly review meetings with designers/contractors on the risk register and conduct at least three weekly site inspections each month to verify implementation of mitigation measures and identify areas for improvement.
  • ERSS Monitoring: Monitor ERSS performance via instrumentation data from the appointed contractor to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Submit site inspection reports to the Project Director, prepare minutes for all meetings, and present risk register updates (including CDSS and CNSS) at regular risk management meetings to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Hazard Closure: Obtain approval from LTA to close identified hazards and submit Hazard Closure Forms upon completion of works to ensure closure and finalization.
