Enterprise Risk and Business Continuity Specialist

This is a critical role that oversees the coordination, facilitation, and enforcement of business continuity management. The successful candidate will maintain awareness of emerging trends and incidents, monitor potential threats, and inform and advise the organization on appropriate measures.

  • Maintain awareness of emerging trends and incidents, including new threats to business continuity.
  • Monitor potential threats and inform and advise the organization.
  • Coordinate special projects related to expansion of the incident/crisis management program.
  • Participate in new initiatives to identify potentially new/emerging risks.
  • Develop a roadmap based on new threats.

Main Responsibilities:

Risk Management

The Enterprise Risk and Business Continuity Specialist will be responsible for maintaining awareness of emerging trends and incidents, including new threats to business continuity.

Crisis Management

The specialist will also be responsible for coordinating special projects related to expansion of the incident/crisis management program.

Business Continuity Planning

The specialist will develop a roadmap based on new threats and participate in new initiatives to identify potentially new/emerging risks.

Requirements:

  • Recognized professional certification in business continuity, disaster recovery, or crisis management preferred.
  • Relevant experience in actual incident management and crisis management.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies.
  • Knowledge of best practices (e.g. ISO22301:2012) and financial regulatory requirements.
  • Strong verbal/written communications, able to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with representatives from various business units across the organization.
  • Effective team player.
  • Capable of making sound judgments based on the weight of available data.
  • Ownership of new ideas, challenging ideas constructively.
  • Strong relationship building skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders at various levels.
