Job Description

A senior structural engineer is required to lead and manage structural engineering activities for topside facilities in FPSO, FLNG, and offshore projects.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in offshore oil and gas, expertise in topside structural engineering, and the ability to provide strategic focus for conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, and EPCI phases.

This role involves technical validation and quality assurance of engineering data and deliverables, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimal solutions across various project phases.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing corporate technical standards and procedures, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting the Head of Discipline in managing the corporate organization.

  • Develop and maintain corporate technical standards and procedures.
  • Develop workflows and engineering platforms for structural design.
  • Support the Head of Discipline in managing the corporate organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the offshore or onshore oil and gas industry.
  • At least 5 consecutive years with a top-tier FPSO or offshore/onshore EPC contractor.
  • Proven structural engineering experience in FPSO or offshore EPCI projects, including topside structural design basis, SACS modeling, and supervision of detailed engineering.
  • Field engineering experience during construction is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with structural engineering tools such as SACS.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
