The Colocation Commissioning Build Program Management (CBPM) team is seeking a passionate and motivated technical program manager to contribute to the scaling and continuous improvement of construction, commissioning, building monitoring, and cost control – collectively the "Build" program – for Colocation data centers.
About the Team
The CBPM team collaborates with site planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams globally to achieve measurable improvements to quality, schedule, and cost. We are able to deliver on multiple inflight tasks with expedited timelines, prioritize tasks based on business impact, and provide timely updates for progress and lessons learned.
Key Responsibilities
As an AWS Commissioning Technical Program Manager, you will work with regional and global partners to scale, drive, and continuously improve AWS Colo processes related to construction, commissioning, building monitoring, and cost control. You will identify process gaps and lead initiatives across internal and external stakeholders to mitigate said gaps. You will review and provide feedback to stakeholder deliverables affecting the build phase, including site qualification, stakeholder engagement, milestone planning, contracting, quality and handover protocols. Additionally, you will provide project management support of build activities in Colocation data centers when needed, design and implement metrics to measure program achievements and opportunities for improvement, provide guidance to Colo stakeholders of new or updated processes, and deliver measurable results that improve Colo quality, schedule, and cost.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in one or more of these areas: Big Data / Databases (MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL) / Internet Security / Systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers) / Networking (DNS, TCP/IP) / Programming / scripting (Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP). A Bachelor's degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field is also required. Solid oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin are necessary.
