Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner, Apparel to join our team at VF Corporation. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of our products manufactured by third-party contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor quality, compliance, and regulatory aspects between our company and third-party manufacturers.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, including technical issues, schedule conflicts, quality issues, and vendor selection and evaluation.
  • Provide contractors with the necessary information to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Act as a liaison between our company and contractors to ensure all products are manufactured following good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and quality products are released and available to meet customer needs.
  • Identify potential new contractors and evaluate their financial stability.
  • Coordinate the development of documentation for contractor manuals.
  • Respond to cost and feasibility requests and obtain vendor quotations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Three to five years of related experience preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Knowledge and Application:

You will have a strong understanding of the principles and practices in a recognized professional field requiring extensive academic preparation. You will be able to apply this knowledge to determine a course of action based on guidelines and modify processes and methods as required.

Problem Solving:

You will be able to resolve issues that are often varied and non-routine. You will use your previous experience to identify the most appropriate option or improve existing approaches.

Interaction:

You will be able to convey information to occasionally divergent audiences that may require some persuasion. You will need to convey information to audiences not knowledgeable of the subject matter.

Impact:

Your impact will be generally limited to short-term team performance, occasionally on medium-term goals. You will support the achievement of goals through your own personal effort.

Accountability:

You will be accountable for meeting your own targets, which will impact the immediate work area. You will be accountable for managing your own impact on cost and profitability of the business.
