Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and manage our quality assurance and food safety functions. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality systems, such as HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and GMP.
  • Evaluate and maintain compliance with food safety regulations, customer requirements, and internal quality standards.
  • Oversee quality control procedures, including raw material inspections, in-process checks, and finished product testing.
  • Manage a team of quality assurance professionals, including training, performance evaluation, and development.
  • Analyze quality data and trends, generate reports, and drive initiatives to reduce product defects and improve consistency.
  • Collaborate with production, R&D, procurement, and other departments to ensure product quality throughout the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in a quality or food safety role, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and certifications, such as HACCP, GMP, ISO, and FSSC.
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities, such as SFA, AVA, or relevant international bodies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
  • Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

  • Lead auditor certification for ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, or related standards.
  • Experience handling export requirements and international food safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma tools for quality improvement.
