Job Title: Senior Steel Construction Manager


Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Steel Construction Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel structure design, fabrication, erection methods, and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans that align with business goals and timelines.
  • Structural Steel Expertise: Ensure the quality and integrity of structural steelwork, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
  • Project Cost Management: Estimate, budget, and manage project expenses, as well as oversee procurement planning and financial reporting.
  • Cost Control: Monitor project expenses, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain cost-effectiveness.
  • Site Management: Supervise on-site steel erection, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Risk and Safety Management: Assess project risks and implement health & safety protocols to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Team Leadership: Effectively manage multi-disciplinary teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to achieve project objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with clients, engineers, fabricators, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Contract & Claims Handling: Understand and manage construction contracts, variations, and dispute resolution processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a related field.
  • Specialization in Structural Steelwork and Architectural Metalwork, or Civil Engineering and Building Constructions.
  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor with expertise in cost estimation, bills of quantities, tender documents, quotations, and contracts is an added advantage.
  • Able to understand all construction and shop drawings.
  • Good knowledge in MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Preferably bilingual (English and Chinese).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet client deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to start work within a short notice period or immediately preferred.
