We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of data assets, data sharing systems and protocols, statistical analysis plans, and prepare applications for data access and ethical approvals.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct research on risk of Alzheimer's disease in women consistent with the project work plan, create scholarly output on this topic recognized by peers, support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets, undertake advanced statistical modelling of cohort studies to identify risk factors and produce individual and population-based estimates, participate in and/or present at conferences and/or workshops relevant to the project as required, assist with the supervision of research students in the research area where required, and contribute to systematic reviews relevant to achieving the research milestones.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will have:
- A PhD in Statistics, Quantitative Psychology or a related area.
- Demonstrated skills in longitudinal modelling and data synthesis, including machine learning, regression and GLM.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research in the field of dementia, cognitive ageing or women's brain health, and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relevant to the topic of the program of work.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.
This is a full-time fixed term position for 2.5 years. The salary is negotiable and includes superannuation and annual leave loading.
