Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Operations Engineer to join our Managed Services team at MyCareersFuture. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the technical administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and guide a team of systems operations engineers, providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of servers, applications, and security measures to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify, log, and resolve technical problems within the scope of incident management.
  • Ensure that work is carried out within agreed service levels, including service request, incident, change, and patch management.
  • Respond to site to troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify faults, and coordinate the recovery of systems.
  • Identify potential changes and system improvements for consideration and implementation, and create, maintain, and distribute reports of progress to the service delivery manager.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, Clusters, NLB, or Unix.
  • Proficiency in OS provisioning, hardening, and patching.
  • Expertise in Solarwinds and Manage Engine.
  • Good knowledge of antivirus solutions such as Symantec.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with BMC Control-M.
  • Robust server experience, including AD administration and basic networking skills.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in infrastructure support.
Soft Skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
  • Self-driven and effective in working both independently and in a team setting, with minimal supervision.
  • Good problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
  • Excellent customer management skills.
Education or Qualification
  • At least a Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • At least an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification.
