Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Service Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily checks to ensure equipment is in good working condition, maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Evaluate and maintain sufficient stock supplies, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
  • Handle guest feedback professionally, addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Deliver efficient and professional services to meet guests' needs and expectations, exceeding their expectations when possible.
  • Respond promptly and politely to guests' needs and complaints, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Act in the best interest of the organization, applying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) daily, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and participate in activities of service personnel under direct supervision, mentoring and guiding them as needed.
  • Direct and guide subordinates during food and beverage service, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
  • Ensure the restaurant is adequately staffed during shifts, notify management of any shortages, and plan weekly rosters effectively based on outlet reservations.
  • Participate in stocktaking of stores, linen, and operating equipment as directed by superiors, maintaining accurate records and reporting findings.
  • Coordinate regular monthly maintenance and recording, scheduling and overseeing maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
Key Requirements
  • Experience in the Food & Beverage industry preferred, with a passion for F&B work and ability to adapt to rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Essential Skills
  • SOPs: Familiarity with standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Direct Supervision: Ability to supervise and mentor junior staff members.
  • Efficient Service Delivery: Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and meeting expectations.
  • Customer Feedback Management: Effective handling of guest feedback and complaints.
  • Inventory Management: Experience in managing stock supplies and optimizing inventory levels.
  • Team Participation: Willingness to participate in team activities and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Training and Development: Commitment to ongoing learning and development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures and schedules.
