Junior Application Support Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Junior Application Support Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our applications and providing exceptional customer service to our users.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Resolving incidents impacting users swiftly and efficiently, conducting thorough investigations and communicating effectively throughout the incident lifecycle.
  • Handling user requests promptly and effectively, prioritizing requests based on urgency and impact, and escalating requests when necessary while remaining the primary point of contact for the user.
  • Driving sustainable solutions to prevent recurring issues, identifying root causes of incidents, and defining remediation actions.
  • Serving as the primary communication channel between IT and stakeholders, collaborating with other support engineers, users, and other CMI and CAGIP stakeholders.
  • Following CMI Run processes, standards, and recommendations provided by the Run Control Tower, actively contributing to their improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Provide timely and effective communication to users and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive sustainable solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in IT support or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, UNIX platform, and scripting languages such as Python, Shell script, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and technologies like GitLab, Ansible, Jenkins, Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, KAFKA, Confluence, Jira, and MQ Series.
  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms and services.
  • ITIL knowledge is a plus.
