Job Title: Video Colorist
We are seeking a skilled Colorist to join our team and provide high-quality, consistent, expertly color-graded content for short cinematic viral videos. The ideal candidate should possess significant experience with narrative films and the ability to grade raw footage without relying on a lookup table.
The Colorist will be responsible for executing all technical aspects of color correction and grading at a visually appealing level. Proficiency in understanding color and narrative styles is crucial to enhance storytelling, build suspense, evoke emotion, and elevate the overall entertainment value with minimal guidance.
Key Responsibilities:- Working with DaVinci Resolve to deliver high-quality color correction and grading
- Ensuring that colors align with the team's vision while adhering to branding guidelines
- Matching shots to provide a cinematic look
- Offering creative solutions
- Collaborating closely with the production team
- Ensuring the completion and organization of all final files
The successful candidate should possess at least 3 years of experience in editing and coloring short-form video content with a narrative structure, along with advanced skills in color correcting and grading using DaVinci Resolve.
A strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in color correction and grading, in-depth knowledge of color theory, and a technical understanding of how color influences narrative film are essential.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work on diverse projects, demonstrate quick and consistent output without compromising quality, and exhibit a collaborative spirit are also key qualifications for this role.
As a Colorist, you will report directly to the Editing Manager and have no personnel reporting to you.
This role will be remote, allowing you to work from home or a personal office.
