Job Title: Uniform Coordinator

Job Summary:

  • This is a dynamic role where the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of uniforms across the hotel.

About the Role:

The Uniform Coordinator plays a vital part in maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation throughout the hotel. This position reports to the Assistant Housekeeper and ensures that all uniforms are clean, properly organized, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre-shift meetings with department heads and receive uniform requirements and cleaning instructions.
  • Collect, sort, and clean uniforms as per hotel standards, ensuring timely distribution to staff members.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all uniforms and ensure sufficient supplies are available for staff.
  • Inspect uniforms regularly for damages and coordinate necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure uniforms are neatly folded, organized, and distributed on time to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the uniform storage area, making sure all uniforms are easily accessible.
  • Monitor the cleanliness of uniforms throughout the day, performing touch-ups or re-cleaning as required.
  • Handle laundry requests for uniforms, ensuring items are properly sorted, washed, dried, and ironed.
  • Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and detergents used for uniform maintenance.
  • Return uniforms to staff members in a timely manner.
  • Report any uniform-related issues, including missing items, defects, or complaints, to the Assistant Housekeeper immediately.
  • Maintain the laundry equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Follow safety and security protocols related to uniform storage and handling.
  • Adhere to workplace safety and security policies and report any accidents, injuries, or incidents to the relevant authorities.
  • Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Be physically fit as the role requires constant movement and handling of heavy uniform items.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Show excellent organizational skills to manage the uniform inventory and ensure timely distribution.
