The successful implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) on construction projects requires a skilled BIM Manager.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement Client Employers Information Requirements (EIR) and Project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Coordinate Contractors' and sub-contractors' BIM teams to align with EIR documents and BEP.
    • Ensure all related infrastructure and facilities are coordinated in the BIM Model before commencement of actual works on site.
    • Review and coordinate shop drawings and construction drawings in BIM models prior to actual work on site.
    • Evaluate and review BIM models and relevant deliverables submitted by contractors with the project team.
    • Work with stakeholders and project teams to identify and resolve technical issues submitted by contractors.
    • Present progress and status regarding BIM implementation and BIM-related submissions by contractors.
    • Organize and facilitate BIM workshops and meetings.
    • Report model updates to the CE BIM team at the end of each month.
    • Ensure accurate as-built models for related infrastructure and facilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum degree in Engineering / Architecture or equivalent.
  • Certification course in BIM Management completion.
  • Ten years of experience in relevant work with proficient use of BIM Software and five years of experience in site supervision.
  • Familiarity with Civil, Structural, Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical aspects of engineering.
  • Implementation of BIM Company Deployment Plan and Project BIM Execution Plan for two or more projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
