Key Warehouse Role:

The Assistant Warehouse Supervisor position is a crucial element in our metal recycling operations. As an integral member of the warehouse team, you will oversee daily activities, supervise staff, and ensure seamless operations.

  • Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with receiving, sorting, storing, and dispatching scrap metals.
  • Supervise warehouse staff to maintain productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring workplace practices and ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Coordinate logistics for skip bin movements, dismantling, and reinstatement works when required.
  • Inspect and categorize ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
  • Provide input on improving workflow and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Experience in warehouse or logistics operations; supervisory or team leader experience is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with scrap metal materials (ferrous & non-ferrous) is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary.
  • Able to handle various warehouse duties.
  • Willingness to learn and take on greater responsibilities.
