Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing pathways to decarbonize the land transport sector, overseeing sustainability initiatives, and driving alignment between sustainability targets and operating metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategies to decarbonize the land transport sector, considering evolving technology, economic, and policy conditions.
  • Establish sustainability priorities and set goals/KPIs in consultation with management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee and monitor a portfolio of sustainability initiatives/projects across various departments.
  • Drive alignment between sustainability targets and operating metrics.
  • Support departments in driving and executing projects to achieve sustainability targets.
  • Provide advisory support to working groups on related topics and solutions.
  • Identify and evaluate emission reduction opportunities and pathways where possible.
  • Review new ESG/sustainability standards relevant to land transport to assess impact and integrate requirements into wider sustainability framework and strategies.
  • Conduct regular stakeholder engagement meetings to ensure objectives are met.
Sustainability Reporting:
  • Research and benchmark latest ESG/sustainability trends and integrate recommendations into corporate objectives, reporting, and operations.
  • Develop and operationalize sustainability reporting, including creating dashboards, data collection, data standards, data analysis, etc.
  • Oversee and publish annual sustainability reports in accordance with industry standards.
Sustainability Outreach:
  • Coordinate sustainability outreach and partnership programs.
  • Develop and deliver sustainability-related communications to increase education, awareness, and engagement of sustainability initiatives.
  • Potential to take on additional responsibilities beyond sustainability, including corporate social responsibility efforts and practices.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge in sustainability/environmental sciences, engineering, physics, economics, or other related quantitative fields of study.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in sustainability or a related field, with a passion for sustainability.
  • Good knowledge of sustainability issues, international standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 14064, and best practices.
  • Experience in sustainability report writing with reference to standards such as GRI Standards, TCFD, etc., is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills to track progress and reporting across the organization.
  • Comfortable with matrix reporting and agile cross-functional working.
  • Team player who is able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to growing requirements in the sustainability sphere.
