We are seeking a highly skilled Blood Specimen Collector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing venepuncture services for the collection of blood specimens for laboratory investigations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to adapt to changing situations.

The role will involve performing venepuncture procedures in accordance with established standards, sorting and recording blood specimens, and ensuring accurate labeling and dispatching to the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venepuncture procedures for the collection of blood specimens
  • Sort and record all blood specimens collected
  • Ensure accurate labeling and dispatching of blood specimens to the laboratory

Requirements:

  • Entry-level qualification or higher NITEC certification
  • Phlebotomy certification from a recognized institution (preferable)
  • Excellent customer service skills and effective communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
