About the Project: Isolation Guidelines for COVID-19

Isolation has been implemented in most countries since the pandemic started, but the guidelines vary greatly. Scientifically evidenced guidelines are needed to ensure effective containment of the virus. This study aims to compare different isolation guidelines using a simulator that mimics the time course change in viral load.

The project leader, Keisuke Ejima, is an Assistant Professor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. He has extensive research experience and will guide the project towards its objectives. The key responsibilities of the project include collecting and cleaning data, analyzing it using mathematical/statistical models, reviewing literature, and contributing to manuscript writing.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as data science, computational biology, mathematics, computer science, (bio)statistics, or related field.
  • Research experience and educational background in public health and medicine are desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of R programming language is preferred.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork attitude are necessary.
