LKCMedicine seeks a Research Associate (RA) to leadinnovative research in medical image processing, 3D organreconstruction, large-scale model applications, and AI integrationwith surgical robotics. The RA will design advanced algorithms anddevelop AI tools tailored for medical applications, bridgingcomputational solutions with practical use. These tools willsupport clinicians and researchers, enhancing healthcare delivery.The RA will play a vital role in advancing LKCMedicine's mission ofleveraging technology to improve patient outcomes and maintain theinstitution's leadership in medicalinnovations.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Design and implementAI algorithm models to analyze multimodal medical datasets(including MRI, CT, X-ray, OCT, and ultrasound images) forhigh-precision medical organ segmentation, 3D modeling research,and intelligent diagnosis.
  • Explore and developthe application of large-scale pre-trained models in medicalscenarios, including but not limited to intelligent consultationsystems based on large language models and disease managementsystems utilizing multi-modal large modeltechnologies.
  • Develop, test, and optimize AIsoftware systems for various medical tasks, ensuring theirapplicability and accuracy in real-world medicalenvironments.
  • Utilize data storage technologiesto manage multimodal medical data securely and efficiently,ensuring data privacy while providing high storage capacity toaccelerate AI model training andinference.
  • Enhance the visualizationcapabilities of AI software system outputs using VR/AR equipmentand 3D visualization technologies, aiding clinical observations andassisting interns in training and rapidlearning.
  • Collaborate with the team tosystematically complete research and development tasks, assistingin the development of AI-assisted robotic solutions for surgicalprocedures, including pre-operative planning and intra-operativeguidance.
  • Ensure that all research activitiesadhere to ethical guidelines and patient data privacyregulations.
  • Stay updated on the latestadvancements in medical imaging, image processing, robotics, andlarge language models, ensuring that the research remains at theforefront of the field.
  • Collaborate withexternal researchers and interdisciplinary teams (including medicalprofessionals, AI experts, and research professors) to ensure thenecessity, professionalism, rationality, and practicality of theresearch.
  • Attend conferences, workshops, andseminars to represent the research team, acquire new knowledge, andestablish collaborations.
  • Write researchproposals, grant applications, and contribute to the team'sstrategic research direction.
  • Mentor and trainjunior researchers, students, and interns, ensuring they possessthe necessary skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to theresearch.


Key Competenciesand Education Qualifications:
  • Master'sor PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or arelated field from a prestigiousinstitution.
  • Extensive experience in deeplearning, AI, computer vision, 3D reconstruction algorithms, andlarge-scale Pre-trained Models.
  • A solidresearch foundation and engineering experience in the AI medicalfield, proficient in programming languages and frameworks such asPython, C++, Pytorch, Tensorflow, Opencv, andCOLMAP.
  • Experience in software systemengineering, capable of designing a well-structured systemarchitecture to support the implementation of AI medicalsoftware.
  • Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and otherdata storage technologies, able to apply them flexibly andeffectively in the AI medical field, ensuring data storageperformance and security.
  • Familiarity withannotation and labeling software, particularly LabelImg, and anunderstanding of the importance of high-quality data annotation inAI model training.
  • Experience analyzing andinterpreting medical imaging datasets, particularly ophthalmicimaging data, with an understanding of the nuances andpeculiarities of such datasets.
  • Familiaritywith using VR/AR devices and medical visualization tools (such asUnity) for 3D software applications.
  • A deepunderstanding of ethical considerations, patient data privacyregulations, and other compliance-related aspects of medicalresearch.
  • Ability to collaborate withinterdisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, AIexperts, and research professors.
  • Proactive andself-driven, capable of developing and managing multiple tasks andprojectssimultaneously.
