Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our team in developing and deploying cutting-edge software systems for our autonomous metal 3D printing factories. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and efficient software solutions that enable precise and fully automated manufacturing at scale.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled software engineer with expertise in developing embedded or real-time software systems, as well as experience interfacing with microcontrollers, FPGA, or GPU computing hardware. You will work closely with process, control, and mechanical engineers to integrate control algorithms into production software and improve high-rate data acquisition, storage, and retrieval systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and develop software for advanced, production-scale metal 3D printing factory
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate control algorithms into production software
  • Improve and scale out high-rate data acquisition, storage, and retrieval systems
  • Implement processes for converting customer part geometries into machine print instructions
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or college, and relevant internship or engineering club experience. A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred, as well as experience working in a Linux or RTOS environment.
