Job Title: Senior Executive

Role Description

This critical role will support the organization's commitment to governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The job involves identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring adherence to Singapore's regulatory framework for charities, and fostering a culture of compliance and ethical integrity within the organization through collaboration across teams.

The incumbent will maintain and update the organization's risk register, conduct regular risk assessments in partnership with program and corporate teams, and develop risk mitigation plans for service delivery, fundraising, and partnerships. They will also coordinate crisis management planning and support incident investigations.

In addition, the Senior Executive will ensure adherence to statutory requirements under the Charities Act, Code of Governance for Charities, and other applicable laws. They will develop, review, and implement internal policies to ensure regulatory compliance and manage filings and submissions to regulatory bodies. They will also conduct compliance training for staff, including fundraising ethics, and oversee insurance submissions and progress.

The role requires the ability to assist in the preparation of governance reports, ensure timely conflict-of-interest declarations and governance disclosures, and support internal reviews of organizational processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement. The Senior Executive will also support internal audits, coordinating with external auditors where necessary, and prepare reports on compliance and risk monitoring for senior leadership.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Law, Risk Management, or related fields is required.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in compliance, governance, or risk management, ideally within the social service or non-profit sector, is essential.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape for charities in Singapore is necessary.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) are an advantage.
