Senior Automation Engineer Role

This Senior Automation Engineer role is a critical position in our organization's infrastructure and engineering teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying Ansible playbooks and modules to streamline automation processes, enhance efficiency, and drive process improvements.

  • Develop and deploy Ansible playbooks and modules (Network, Firewall, Load balancer, DNS, Compliance check etc.) to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Administer the Ansible Platform/infrastructure, perform maintenance, configuration change management, and provide subject matter expert level support to drive process enhancements.
  • Drive process enhancements to automation to continuously improve the SIT/DEV/Production environment, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Influence other teams in adopting automation and configuration management best practices, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Train other team members and teams on Ansible Automation, empowering them to take ownership of their projects and contribute to the organization's growth.
  • Implement projects including design & setup, leveraging expertise in Python, YAML scripting, containers, Kubernetes, and Windows and Linux vulnerability management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required in IT, with a strong foundation in computer science and software development.
  • At least 2+ years' experience with automation tools in developing, creating, and deploying Ansible frameworks and playbooks, showcasing expertise in Ansible Playbook development and Ansible Tower deployment.
  • Experience with Python, YAML scripting, containers, Kubernetes, and applications such as Jira, GitHub, GitLab, demonstrating proficiency in software development and DevOps.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
