Project Cargo Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Cargo Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully executing logistics operations, coordination, and management.

Job Summary:

The Project Cargo Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the handling and management of general cargo and project shipments, ensuring full operational control and cost efficiency. This includes preparing RFQs and tenders with competitive pricing and detailed proposals, as well as acting as the primary point of contact for clients, partners, and offices regarding project operations-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the global shipment of various cargo types, including out-of-gauge and heavy-lift cargo;
  • Coordinate and negotiate with subcontractors, securing competitive rates from potential partners;
  • Calculate and monitor project profits;
  • Support the sales team with offers and proposals;
  • Supervise loading and discharging operations at ports, customer sites, and job sites.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in freight forwarding, with completed training;
  • A proven track record of successfully executed logistics operations, coordination, and management;
  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, including ocean freight, air freight, and break bulk;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with Cargowise being an advantage.
