Role Overview:
The Strategic Financial Leader will play a pivotal role in driving the financial operations of our organization, ensuring robust controls, timely reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and tax advisors for statutory audits and tax filings.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Manage a team of 2-3 accountants.
- Support performance tracking and assist in preparing portfolio review reports.
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and refine internal controls and financial SOPs.
- Support ad-hoc related tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in finance operations, preferably in a family office, asset/wealth management or investment firm.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax, and financial reporting standards.
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- Fluency in Mandarin is required to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders in China.
